Rangley Terms of Service

Effective date: September 10, 2025

Welcome. Rangley is a social and event-discovery platform (“Services”) operated by Mr. Fox, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be 13+ to use Rangley. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent/guardian’s consent.

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You’re responsible for all activity on your account.

2) Verification & Communications (OTP/SMS/Email)

  • To register or sign in, you’ll verify via one-time passcode (OTP) sent by SMS or email. Carrier message/data rates may apply.

  • SMS consent. By signing up, you consent to receive SMS solely for verification, login, and important account notices. Reply STOP to opt out; HELP for help. Opting out of security messages may affect your ability to access the account.

  • We may send administrative emails (e.g., security alerts, changes to terms). You can manage non-essential notifications in settings.

3) Location Features

  • Some features use device location. We collect/use location only with your permission. You can disable this in device settings, though some features may not work.

4) User Conduct

You agree to use the Services lawfully and not to:

  • harass, threaten, or endanger others;

  • dox, impersonate, or misrepresent affiliations;

  • post illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexually explicit content;

  • plan or promote dangerous or unlawful activities;

  • bypass access controls, scrape, or misuse the APIs;

  • upload malware or interfere with the Services.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations.

5) Real-World Meets & Safety

Rangley helps people discover and organize meets (location-based activities). We do not supervise or vet meets or participants, and we are not a party to any arrangements between users.
By participating in any meet, you assume all risk, including risks of injury, illness, property damage, or other harm. Make sober judgments, meet in public places, and follow local laws. Report concerns in-app or to support.

6) Your Content & License

You retain ownership of content you submit (profiles, meet listings, messages, photos, etc.). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display your content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Services (including via our service providers).
You represent you have the rights to post the content and that it complies with these Terms and applicable law.

7) Intellectual Property; Copyright Notices

The Services (software, logos, and trademarks) are owned by us and our licensors. Except for your content and rights expressly granted, we reserve all rights.
Copyright complaints: if you believe content infringes your copyright, contact anthony@mrfoxco.com with details. (If you want a formal DMCA agent workflow, we can expand this.)

8) Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or rely on third-party services (e.g., maps, authentication, messaging). We are not responsible for third-party terms or content. Your use of third parties is at your own risk and may be subject to their terms.

9) Software; App Stores

These Terms are between you and Mr. Fox, LLC—not Apple, Google, or other app stores. App-store providers are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce applicable terms. You must comply with any app-store rules.

10) Privacy

Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why. Please review it carefully.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access at any time if we believe you’ve violated these Terms, risk harm, or for operational/security reasons. You may stop using the Services at any time. Some sections survive termination (e.g., licenses to the extent necessary to operate the Services, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities).

12) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app). Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

13) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

14) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER MR. FOX, LLC NOR ITS AFFILIATES OR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
Our total liability for any claims relating to the Services will not exceed US $100 or the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months before the claim—whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts may not apply to you.

15) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mr. Fox, LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Services, your meets/activities, or your violation of these Terms or law.

16) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois for any matter not subject to arbitration (if the arbitration clause below is used).

17) Export & Compliance

You must comply with applicable export, sanctions, and anti-corruption laws and only use the Services where lawful.

18) General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may assign these Terms; you may not assign them without our consent. No waiver is implied from a failure to enforce.
